CONSULTATION

The initial consultation starts the design journey. During this meeting we discuss your ambitions for your garden, initial ideas and the design journey.

Further to the initial visit, a summary of our discussion, which forms the basis of the brief is sent to you and with agreement to the brief, you will receive a fee proposal.

SITE SURVEY & CONCEPT DESIGN

Next, is the site analysis and topographical survey of your garden. The survey is necessary to draw up the outline plan accurately to scale and to show the new ideas in situ. The garden space is measured in detail, mapping out boundaries, major features, trees, garden buildings, beds and borders. Ground levels are assessed and measured and any services and utilities are plotted.

Once the survey has been completed, I'll provide a concept design of your garden with supporting mood boards and 3D visuals of the design.

The overall concept plan will be drawn up to scale showing your garden with recommendations for any features, lighting locations and the feel of the planting style . You’ll also be able to see and feel samples of recommended landscape materials.

MASTER PLANNING

Once the concept design has been agreed, the master planning stage includes the final plan with setting out specifications, detailed drawings and elevations. If required, a full lighting and irrigation plan is provided. These drawings are referenced by the landscape contractor to provide a quotation for the works and build from.

PLANTING PLAN

By this stage you will already have a flavour of what the planting will look like. This is the detailed planting plan that will show where the plants will be positioned in your garden. The plan will be drawn to scale with the names of the plants listed, presented along with image boards that show each plant.

BUILD MONITORING

This service includes overseeing the build to ensure that all is going to plan and as expected. I will also be on hand to answer any queries during the build time. 

I visit the site to oversee the setting out, during the build and at the finish. I also personally oversee the setting out of all the plants before they are planted.

CARE PLAN

Upon request, after completion, a care plan for your garden can be provided.
