DESIGN PROCESS

From the initial design consultation through to implementation of your new garden, you will receive a personalised service throughout.

1 CONSULTATION

The design consultation begins the design journey. During this meeting we explore your ambitions for your garden, discuss your lifestyle and any initial ideas. Following the visit, you will receive a written summary of our discussion and a detailed fee proposal is prepared for your approval.

2 SURVEY AND SITE ANALYSIS

Next, is the site analysis and topographical survey of your garden. The garden is measured in detail, mapping out boundaries, major features, trees, garden buildings, beds and borders. Ground levels are assessed and measured and any services and utilities are plotted.

3 CONCEPT DESIGN

Once the survey has been completed, a concept design of your garden will be drawn in both 2D and 3D accompanied by supporting mood boards. The overall concept plan will show the layout with recommendations for any features, lighting locations and the feel of the planting style .

4 MASTER PLAN & DETAILED DRAWINGS

Once the concept design has been agreed, the master planning stage includes the final plan with setting out specifications, detailed drawings and elevations. If required, a full lighting and irrigation plan is provided. These drawings are referenced by the landscape contractor to provide a quotation for the works and build from.

5 PLANTING DESIGN

By this stage you will already have an idea of what the planting will look like. The detailed planting plan will show specific plants and where they will be positioned in your garden. The plan will be drawn to scale with the names of the plants listed, presented along with image boards.

6 CONTRACTOR TENDER & IMPLEMENTATION

With the detailed design documentation complete,
a tender package is sent to contractors to quote from.

When the build begins, the next stage includes overseeing and monitoring progress. I will be on hand to answer any queries during the build time
and then to set out of all the plants before they are planted.

AFTERCARE

Upon request, after completion, a bespoke care plan for your garden can be provided.
